Have you heard? Apparently someone you know needs birth control. Did you know that Planned Parenthood considers Catholics to be pro-choice? If you are Catholic and you are are neither pro-choice nor pro-artificial contraception, read on.
If you look at Facebook advertisements or Planned Parenthood advertisements on the side of the road it would certainly appear to seem true that you NEED artificial contraception and you are pro-choice. My question to you is will you be a target of the advertisements and if not will you be able to reasonably share why you are not okay with artificial contraception?
The advertisements for artificial contraception that I am personally inundated with are maddening. Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion organizations are successfully doing everything they can to indoctrinate people to the mind set that:
1. They need birth control
2. Catholics are proponents of artificial contraception and abortion
Needless to say, they are reaching their audience, and consistently. On my 5 minute drive to school I see at least five signs saying, “Someone you know needs birth control.” Every day, I am targeted with digital advertising for artificial contraception and “family planning services”.
Yes, this has all been sad to see, but you know it really is not the problem. There are Catholics who are proponents of birth control and becaus
e of that are not in line with their Church; however, there are Catholics of all ages who do stand with the Church and their stance against birth control, but they do not know how to affirm their position.
So, I’m doing some deeper research from a faith based, factual, and health perspective. I will be posting blogs over the next couple weeks on the subject. I challenge you in the mean time to leave comments on my Facebook page explaining why you do not believe in artificial contraception. Let’s dig deeper together.
Why not birth control?
