I wonder if 41 years from now, as I venture into old age, if today will mark the 82nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade — the supreme court decision legalizing abortion through all nine months of a woman’s pregnancy in the United States.
I wonder if the many marches will continue in 2055. Will hope be lost after 50 or 70 years of legalized abortion?
Will we sit back and remain silent along with the many others who are silent today or during the year when it is no longer trendy to be pro-life?
Honestly, this is my least favorite day of the year. Everyone is pro-life in January and those pro-life people by name wave their feathers as they march and walk for life.
When I was younger I often wept to my mom as images flashed through my head in dreams and when I shut my eyes. I would see blood and babies. Blood pouring out of the buildings where abortions are performed.
Will this day or respect life month pass away until the next anniversary and this go on year after year?
Women are making “choices" that damage and wound their body and soul.
Children are dying bloody deaths. Families are broken apart.
Will you be there to help counsel a friend tomorrow or pray the next? Or to tell the truth even when it’s frightening?
People we know and love are having abortions and work in facilities that perform them.
Don’t let today just be a day to show off that you’re “pro-life”.
